I have been a Registered Nurse for 34 years. During that time I have practiced at the bedside in Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, and on the trauma team. I have been involved in education for the last 20 years beginning with teaching at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University Dental School to teaching in the Health Sciences department at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I have extensive experience in curriculum writing and program development. I developed several statewide health care programs for the Commonwealth of Virginia working with the Governor’s office. I built the medical specialties programs for the Chesterfield Technical College in Chesterfield Virginia.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Health and Wellness Coach and a Therapeutic Nutrition Practitioner through the Institute of Functional Medicine and a Fitness Nutrition Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I developed the highly successful MoreEnergy health program. My main focus is to provide nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle education to those who want to take control of their disease risks and processes to live a healthier, more productive life.
I love trying new things, learning everything about everything, and being outdoors and active. Most of all, I love my husband and our 7 kids, spouses and grandkids!
I grew up an Air Force brat and lived all over the world. I studied Youth Leadership and Recreation Management at BYU-Idaho, Utah, and Hawaii. I love Family time. I enjoy playing basketball, golf, and soccer. I love traveling, exploring, and learning. I love eating great food with people I love and conversation that inspires.
I have been married for 37 years. We have 7 amazing kids and 8 grandlittles that light up our home. We have lived in Pleasant Grove since 1992 and I have been involved in the city since 2010. I have served on the Planning Commission 4 years and now as a City Councilor since 2014. I love being involved. My husband and I have owned Design Spectrum since 1991. My happiest moments are when I have the opportunity to lift and inspire. I want everyone to have MoreEnergy, enabling them to accomplish what they envision.
I was born and raised in sunny Phoenix, AZ and often spend the winter months rethinking my decision to move to Utah. I have a Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Wellness from Brigham Young University because I want to help others achieve their health goals and reach their fullest potential. Currently, I am working towards becoming a Certified Health and Wellness Coach through Wellcoaches. When I am not hunkered down in the library, you can find me hiking, water skiing, and trying to find somewhere I can get back into rowing (I was on a crew team in Arizona). Because I know a healthy lifestyle is all about balance, I also love eating (especially things that are cooked by other people) and baking. I love taking traditional recipes and transitioning them into healthy, great tasting meals that fuel my days. My husband and I recently got married and saved a whole bunch of money thanks to Coronavirus for creating an acceptable excuse not to invite close family members. Together we love to travel, especially when we are going to see our cute nieces and nephews.

Growing up, I have had my own personal health journey discovering which foods help my feel my best and creating a strong relationship with foods. I love being being outdoors, spending time with my family at Lake Powell, and teaching others the power food can have in their lives.
On a more personal note, I have two beautiful baby girls, Andi and Owyn, with my sweetheart Cole. We are on an adventure in Miami, Florida while my husband attends Physician Assistant School and we are loving our cross county adventure.
