5 Minute Hummus

A quick and protein-filled snack that is the perfect complement to vegetables, wraps, sandwiches, and more!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Can (15oz) Chickpeas NOT drained
  • 2-4 Cloves Garlic Peeled
  • 1/2 Cup Tahini (ground sesame seeds)
  • 1/2 Lemon Juiced
  • 1-2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Optional spices and garnishes: pine nuts, chickpeas, paprika, cumin, parsley, etc.

Instructions
 

  • In a microwave safe bowl, add the chickpea and its water along with the garlic.
  • Microwave for 5 minutes. Let cool. Drain and reserve the liquid.
  • Transfer chickpeas to a high powered blender or food processor.
  • Add tahini, lemon juice, and sea salt.
  • Blend until combined then, as the blender is still going, drizzle in the olive oil until smooth.
  • Top with olive oil and additional garnishes if desired and serve!
